Position Statement

Position Statement

Our position is to:

  • provide maximum participation opportunities for everyone in class 
  • provide cooperative activities and individual goal setting challenges, rather than competitive games
  • teach the concepts of physical education, health related fitness and fundamental movement skills, and not sport rules and game play regulations
  • follow NASPE’s position statement on dodgeball, which states that dodgeball is not an appropriate activity for K-12 school Physical Education programs
