Welcome to a new and exciting year!
It is a pleasure being your child’s teacher this school year. I began working in the Palos 118 school district during the 2007-2008 school year. I taught third grade for seven years and first grade for two years at Palos East. I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Palos West this year!
I am from La Grange, Illinois and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. After graduating from Stephens, I remained in Missouri to complete my master’s degree with the University of Missouri Teaching Fellowship Program. This program enabled me to teach third grade full time while completing my master’s coursework. I received my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in July 2007. I received a second M.Ed. in Reading at Concordia University Chicago in December 2013.
I can't believe my daughter will be celebrating her second birthday this November. Time really does fly! My husband and I love watching her grow into her independent and sweet personality.
In addition to spending time with family and friends, I enjoy going for walks with my two dogs Ruby and Rosie, and riding my horse Cody. I love being outdoors, traveling, and relaxing with a good book.
I look forward to a wonderful year full of fun and learning!
