About Miss Lee
2015 (18).JPGA little bit about "Miss Lee".......

I was fortunate enough to start District 118’s first Pre-K Program in the Fall of 2004. I am SO PROUD of our program!  2016-2017 is my 13th year teaching Pre-K here in District 118!  Each year I can't believe how lucky I am to be here!

I have worked with young children for as long as I remember.  My high school, Mother McAuley, offered a child development class that included teaching preschool during the day called “Little School.”  That experience led me to my major at Illinois State University.  I graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education and a Teaching Certificate in December 1998.

After college I taught first grade, third grade, and then spent five years teaching at Motorola’s Child Care and Education Center in Schaumburg.  There, I worked with children ages six weeks to six years old.  I truly loved that experience, and I cherish those memories.  It taught me all I know about not just being a classroom teacher, but how important it is to involve the whole family in the learning process.

During my years here teaching Pre-K, I continued my education. In May 2007, I graduated from St. Xavier with a Masters Degree in Education.  I now hold a Reading Specialist Degree and Certificate. I also finished another graduate program in June 2011, and have my ESL Endorsement as well.  I am also the yearbook editor at Palos West.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family better throughout this school year.  Please contact me anytime with questions or comments!
