Students are given homework packets on a weekly basis. Packets will be distributed on Mondays (or the first day of the school week) and are expected to be completed and returned to school on Friday (or the last day of the school week).
Homework is meant for practice and review, so students should complete the homework with minimal assistance. However, they may require help in reminding them to stay on task or to take a short break. They might also need help to have text or words read to them.
Family Letters will be included in most of the homework packets. Please keep the Family Letters at home as a reference of how to perform the skill taught. The letters include a practice activity for parents and children to do together. The letters can also be a good way to review previously taught skills and concepts at home.
Students should keep the homework packet in their home folder daily. Students should not keep the packet at home; they should always have it in school. This will allow for students to ask questions at school if needed.
