Academic Reinforcement Class

This class develops and reinforces academic skills to promote student growth and success.  The foundation of this class is to support the students, as well as build skills and work ethic needed to become independent learners. Time will be spent developing basic skills in core academic areas, as well as organizational skills, time management, test taking strategies, goal setting, and study skills. By developing these skills, the students will become more self-confident and independent.


The expectations in my classroom are aligned with the District:

Daily Supplies

  • Assignment Notebook
  • Writing utensil
  • Materials for upcoming assessments
  • Assignments needing clarification or help on


Assignment Notebook

The students will be required to have their Assignment Notebook with them every day for each of their classes. The Assignment Notebook is to be brought to school each morning and taken home each night. The students may clarify any assignments during Connections and A.R.

Interventions

Many of the students will be participating in iReady Interventions during their Connections period.  They will be expected to check in with their Connections teacher and report immediately for Interventions.
