Reporting Student Progress

Reporting Student Progress:

The report card reflects that children are responsible for their own success. A student’s progress will be reported to parents formally on the report card twice a school year; at the end of the second and fourth quarters. Understanding concepts, demonstrating skill development, and personal growth and social development will be indicated on our developmental continuum: beginning, progressing and consistently demonstrating. Student progress will be measured through written assessments, performance standards, and teacher observation. Therefore, attendance and effort contribute to the student’s success. It is intended that the report card be used as one component of total communication between home and school.
